Last year, I was chosen to be the Youth Blogger for an upcoming play. I was super excited to do this and had and amazing time.
Since releasing this review, I have been asked to come back and review more performances. YAY!!!!
Below is the review. I hope you like it and can't wait to tell you more.

On Wednesday, December 4, 2013, I went to see Brian Sanders’
JUNK Snowball: A Winter Wonderland Furrytail at The Annenberg Center’s Harold
Prince Theatre conceived and created by, Brian Sanders. This play is a magical
wonderland of snow, animals and dancing that all kids would enjoy. You can even
throw SNOWBALLS AND DANCE with the cast!
Seated high and in the middle of the theatre; I had an
awesome view of the stage. The set designed by Pedro da Silva, was a
neighborhood of sorrow and pain. The people did not have a lot; but they danced
to music to make them happy. The lighting, designed by Jay Madara, was a
kaleidoscope of grey that introduced me to Snowball.
The music was all from the 80’s and choreographer, Brian
Sanders with portions created by Dinita Clark and Kyle Clark; did a wonderful job
telling the story. Some dances reminded me of Beat Street and Breakin’, which I love.
They also did Hip-Hop routines and acrobatics. Gem, played by Ann-Marie Gover,
shared her feelings through dancing. She blended very well with the character
and made me feel like I was dancing with her. Gem was also my favorite!
Wutzerface/Julia Stone, played by Laura Jenkins, had the
coolest high heels EVER, but she was mean. She took from the poor and kept it
for herself. The people in the neighborhood were terrified of Wutzerface/Julia
Stone and always hid or ran away from her. But, that changed.
In the second act, it had a sugar plum theme. The magic made
the grey go away. People started to stand up for themselves and fight for their
rights. Sometimes, you have to believe in yourself to do something.
I give Brian Sanders’ JUNK Snowball: A Winter Wonderland
Furrytail, 2 thumbs up! The play was romantic, magical, funny, and sad; with
great fight scenes. So, HURRY and see Snowball before it melts. This play runs
from December 4-15th at the Annenberg Center
for the Performing Arts at 3680
Walnut Street , Philadelphia PA. For more information, go to briansandersjunk.com/snowball .
